Bug in v42 Matching Drop-Down List That Needs to Scroll

Aug 19, 2020

A matching drop-down question created in v41 has five match options. This required a scrolling drop-down list for the lowest choice on the screen. Worked fine in v41: see Dropdown 41.png.

Opening the same project after installing v42, the scrolling no longer works, which means the learner has no way of selecting a correct response for the bottom choice: see Dropdown 42.png.

Is this a known bug?

Is there a work-around?

Hi John!

This isn't a known a bug so we'll want to investigate further before logging. We are currently on Update 43 (Build 3.43.22859.0). Have you tried updating your project to the newest version of Storyline 360 and see if there is still an issue with the scrolling panel there?

Either way, our team will need to test the file to determine if this is a regression. Would you mind if we used your file as a test? You can upload it here.

Hello John,

I appreciate the opportunity to test your file!

We found an issue in Storyline 360, where learners are unable to scroll through all answers from the bottom drop-down box of matching and sequence drop-down questions.

I included your experience in our report. For now, we have this workaround:

Thanks for bearing with us, and we'll update you on any changes as soon as we can!

Hi Everyone,

Good news! We fixed the issue where you are unable to use the mouse scroll wheel or scrollbar to scroll through all answers from the bottom drop-down in a Graded Matching drop-down.

Here's how to install the latest Storyline 360 update to see all the recent enhancements and fixes.

If the problem reappears, please connect with our team, or share a screen recording here, and we'll be happy to help!
