Everytime I add a freeform question to my storyline it creating some disaster of a bug that prevents the storyline from working properly and playing. Is this a known bug yet?
Yikes, sorry that's happening, Katelin! Adding a freeform question definitely shouldn't cause Storyline to crash. Can you help me with a few details about your file?
What version of Storyline are you using?
Are you working from your local hard drive or a network drive?
Does this happen in all Storyline files, or just one file in particular?
All files and I actually spent about an hour troubleshooting it this morning and it appears to be a bug related to customizing feedback slides for quizzes. That is what I narrowed it down to based on it breaking when I change the feedback slides. This would appear to be a bug in the software itself.
Thanks, Katelin! I'm trying to recreate this issue in a new file, but I still need your help.

Can you record a quick screen recording of the steps you're following when the bug appears? If you have Articulate 360, you can use Peek to make the recording.
Using Storyline 2. I don't have a way to do a screen recording. However, I did upload the file and submit a case. All I did was change the master feedback template and apply it to the feedback layer.
Smart idea to open a case. Our Support Engineers are rockstars, and you'll be in good hands! I'll follow along as well and share updates, as necessary.
Hi Katelin! I popped in to check on your case this morning, and I can see Ryan did some extensive testing and found a unique bug in your file. It looks like succeeding slides will not automatically play when "hide objects on base layer" is enabled on the feedback layers of a Matching Drop Down and a Matching Drag and Drop quiz.
For now, you'll want to disable this option. Instead, add a rectangle to cover the base layer. I can see Ryan sent you a screencast to show you how to do just that!
We'll keep an eye on this bug to evaluate how many customers are impacted and what impact it has on courses. The number of customers and depth of impact are two of the elements that help us prioritize bugs and fixes. We'll keep you posted on any new information we receive!

I can't say that they are being very helpful. It would be nice if you all had a phone number to call for support.
