Hi people and Happy New Year from the southern hemisphere where its a balmy 110 degrees on a warm day!
I am keen to see if there is a way to lay survey and form based quizzes onto a slide with a template art background ready to house it. Such as a pic in background, text and other elements. it seems a pretty clunky exercise to have to do this from a fresh slide each time or am I missing something. Great work on the tutorials and information on the site too.
Just rub it in about the weather huh? It's a balmy 15 degrees (F) in NY where I am...
Have you looked at setting up slide masters for the questions and then applying those as needed based on what you're inserting? If I'm misunderstanding your question, please let me know.
Hi Ashley,
thanks for the heads up. I will check it out. I have had a lot of courses built using interactive video in SL but learning it myself from a design viewpoint.
sorry to hear it is subzero there!
australia thanks you for this and some fine tv shows as well!
Cheers

I did have a close look at slide Masters which was generally very helpful. I did find that you don't seem to be able to make a quiz slide master though. for example, if i have a true false slide, a multi choice or a drag and drop in a project, I am looking to keep the same text formatting and alignment of the top lines and location on the screen but it seems to have to be tweaked on each slide after the master is applied. Am I able to convert a slide into a master to help avoid the process or is it better to just dupe the slides once made in the story panel to do a similar thing.
Hopefully this makes sense. also as a PS, does anyone else wonder if all shapes should have outlines turned off as a default instead of on? I noticed on all video tutorials, all the trainers say at some point to turn off outlines, but never say turn them on!
enjoy the snow! and thanks for your help. hope you are not sitting in a car buried in a snowdrift!
There is a quiz slide master - but it's not specific to the type of quiz question. So you're right in that you can't set up the location for things like alignment of all the answers. You could make multiple masters - and then after adding in the question type, just apply the appropriate master - but not sure that is any faster/easier than what you're already doing.
In regards to the shape/outline issue - I haven't wondered that, but you could also look at setting the default shape (right click after you adjust a shape) for a particular project, or share your thoughts on what you'd like to see in the form of a feature request.
No snow drifts yet...but "winter is coming" is always a true statement here. :-)
