I don't believe you can automatically tie the font on your buttons to the font in your template.
However, one thing you can do is to format your first button (both text and colours) and set that as the default button format.
Once you have done that, any buttons of that same type (you can set each of the three button options with their own default formatting) that you include on any other slides in that same project will assume the new formatting. If you save your project and open it later, it will have the new default formatting embedded in it. If you start a new project, it will revert to the original default settings unless you change them.
