I have tried using the "Jump to URL/File" function however I am having trouble..
Is there a specific location the files must be placed in order for them to open properly? I tried linking a basic question mark picture to a PDF step by step using the "Jump to URL/File" function. It was only one page, a very small file. Still I am not sure why it does not open.
I'm new with Storyline and am trying to figure out how exactly to link or display a pdf file in Storyline. Are there specific instructions on how to do so?
@Greg, are you testing locally (on your harddrive)? If yes, then your link is likely blocked by your browser's security settings. Try uploading to some server and test again.
@Jeff, there is nothing special about linking or displaying pdfs. Here is some info on working with web objects. And here is info on linking to various types of external files.
Here is an example that shows a pdf in a web object. Here is an example of a linked pdf that is displayed in a new browser window (see under the Category One tab). And here is an example of not only displaying a pdf in a web object, but displaying specific pages within that pdf.

There is PDF import function per se. You can LINK to it or DISPLAY it inside a Storyline slide.
