Can a survey show feedback from all participants in a group?

Jul 03, 2013

I'm wanting to get learners to click on all the course objectives that are most important to them. If they all have competency then we don't need to cover them - they can go straight to some quizzes and skip the content. But I also want them to be able to see each others results and make this a group activity, which we'll follow up in a classroom setting. Is this possible?

Hi Sharon,

Sorry for the delay in response.

I'm afraid I don't know of a way to "share" survey results with learners for comparison/review. I'm not sure if it's an option for you, but what you could do is use an external survey site (like Survey Monkey or maybe even something like Tiny Pulse) and insert that as a web object in the course.

If you used something similar to the sites I mentioned above, users may be able to view input from others, or you could pull up all of the results in your classroom after they've submitted their information through the course.

Again, though, I'm not sure if that would work for your specific project, but hopefully it'll help get you started!

Best of luck with the project!

Hi there Sharon,

Right - there's really no way to incorporate multiple users into one course. At least, not using traditional methods. The only way I can think of doing that would require that each user actually use the same machine, the same instance of the course and a whole lot of work :) While it's possible in theory, it may be far too complicated to be something I'd personally want to build.

Hope you have a great day,

Christine
