Can't access link to download desktop apps with Free Trial?

Dec 05, 2023

Hi all,

Just signed up for the free trial.

I'm running a Mac with an Oracle VM/Windows 10.

When I tried to access the link for desktop apps download instead of loading it would go in an endless loop and never load - very strange.

Has anyone else experienced this recently?

Is there a current issue with the site?

Please advise.

Thanks

Hi Jake,

Sorry to hear about the trouble downloading the Articulate desktop apps, and thanks for reporting this in a support case as well!

That endless looping behavior does sound strange and is a great troubleshooting opportunity for our support team. You're in excellent hands working one-on-one with them, and you should hear from them shortly!

Update:

I discovered the issue was my desktop Clock: The time wasn't accurate to my location. I was prompted about this when I signed in but didn't fix it.  After fixing it, the page loaded and was able to download.

Yet, there's another issue:  I noticed Storyline wasn't listed with the other download apps.  Is it available with the free trial? If so, how do I download it?

Thanks

Thanks for the update, Jake; I'm glad to know you were able to download the desktop app! What you see with the Articulate 360 Desktop App is a bug discovered with the latest version. We're working on fixing it, and we'll let you know once we're done. In the meantime, please follow the steps in the article below to show the Storyline 360 shortcut again.

Hi Jake!

I want to share some good news about today's update (Update 83) for Storyline 360! Downloading today's update will permanently fix an issue you recently ran into with the Desktop App section appearing blank after last month's update (Update 82).

The problem originated from our changes to the Articulate 360 Desktop App to introduce the Storyline 64-bit version. Downloading today's update should prevent the problem from happening. Installing the update is super easy; here's how.

Also, today's update delivers another improvement to the Text to Speech feature called SSML support. This allows you to tweak text-to-speech speed, pronunciation, and insert pauses. Click here for the support article.
