Can't find state trigger (New Articulate User)

I'm a new user editing a module in Storyline that was previously created by someone else (who isn't around to ask for help.) I am trying to find the trigger that is causing an object to change states. I don't see it in the list of triggers for the slide, but when I click on a particular shape, it changes to the state "selected," showing text that isn't there in the "normal" state. (I want to find the trigger so I can add a condition that it will only do so if the audio previous audio is complete.)

Any idea where this sneaky trigger might be hiding?
