I want to have several states of a character activate at specific points on the timeline but I don't see a way to do this. Eventually, the states will need to change at specific points in the narration (without the user clicking or moving the mouse). The voiceover isn't recorded yet but I want to test the slide, so I need to set triggers to change the states at a point on the timeline. Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi Julie,
Have a shape appear off-screen, and at the right place on the Timeline.
Then create a Trigger that says "Change state of X to blah when State of Shape Y = Normal".

you can insert 'off screen' shapes and use those to trigger state changes of the character at the correct points on the timeline...
i.e. change state of character a when timeline starts of shape x
