Can You Change The Storyline Player Size Within The Web Page?

May 19, 2014

I have been able to successfully publish three storyline files on a test page on our website. The stories all work fine. I am wondering though if it is possible to make them appear bigger on the computer screen, possibly even make them full screen? Right now there is a lot of white space behind the story on the web page. Our web guy said he played around with the sizing of the stories but the changes didn't affect the player size on screen. Are the player sizes fixed when the files are exported/published? Is this something I need to change within Articulate Storyline before I publish?

Here is the link to our test page: http://www.3-a.org/Resource/Knowledge_Center.php?DocID=1750

We are using Google Crome.

Thanks so much in advance!

Hi Kelley,

There are a few things you can try:

  • Change the dimensions of your project (By going to Design > Story Size and entering your new dimensions), but you will then have to change the size of the content on your slides since there will be more slide space to work with
  • If it's just the white space you do not like, you can consider using a darker background color for your HTML background (Go to Player > Colors and Effects > Page Background
  • Or you can use the free Full Screen widget available at Elearning Ehanced

Hope this helps! (There are probably a few other options available too that I didn't think of off the top of my head )
