I am reusing a file, and I want to insert a new scene between scenes 1 and 2. When I specify to create a new scene, Storyline places the new scene at the end. How do I either move that scene to be between scene 1 and 2, or simply insert a new scene into that position?
You can move scenes around while in Story view - but it's scene number and ordering will generally work as described here. You may also want to look at the triggers associated with your course and how you're having users navigate.
Thanks for responding. My question was really more about the edits to the video. When I edit the captions on the "View" mode and then copy the video again to use for "Try" mode, the edits to the captions are not saved, so I have to make the same exact edits 2-3 times, depending on how many different step-by-step modes I want to use. That seems silly--is there a way to save the edits so I don't have to do them multiple times? I feel like there has to be a way to do this and I'm just not seeing it. THanks!
It sounds like you want to customize the captions in View Mode step-by-step slides, and you want those changes to automatically carry over to Try Mode and Test Mode scenes.
While there isn't a one-click method to copy those edits from one mode to another, I can certainly see how that would make life easier! I'll be sure to pass along your idea to our team.
In the meantime, I would suggest using copy/paste and the Format Painter to copy those customizations to each mode/scene.
