Can you reveal hotspot(s) to the learner in a lightbox?

Nov 24, 2022

*Storyline 360 updated to current version. (No updates available 11/24/2022) Windows 10, compatible device. *

context & question:

I have an interactive exterior of a piece of equipment, where you click each piece i.e. tire, shock, window, dipstick, when you click each hotspot the corresponding lightbox slide is triggered to a detailed image with information, but some hotspots are tiny i.e. dipstick , so the hover over with mouse to reveal cursor option is not feasible, because they will never find it, they would have to know where it is, so my question is , is there a way to reveal hotspots to the learner like you can with the hotspot options for a 360 image ( in left panel under hotpots).

in easier words, I'm looking to reveal hotspots to the learner in a light boxed slide. (Mouse reveal method won't cut it)

I could change all my hotspots to markers, like you said, definitely an option, i am just trying to not populate the page with buttons and icons since there are allot, so instead I've carefully outlined each part that has a lightbox so it's clean looking.

The hotspots are colored with a translucent appearance so you can see the part that's hot spotted, that's why I'd like to reveal hotspots, to me it makes for a more organized, themed, appearance, with color coordination and no icon blocking any part of the image. I did try to put shapes/icons to indicate the hotspots, but they were just as bulky as markers or buttons and had no function. I'm stuck lol.

Thank you for the feedback!

I guess I can't quite picture what you are trying to do. Another options would be to "turn on" the hotspots and additional info one by one. For example, the first hotspot is "on" (all others are "hidden", or on separate layers, then you click a > button to see the next one, and the next, etc. Would that work?

all hotspots are enabled, no layering present, I don't think articulate has added this feature I'm looking for to the program, it's there for a 360* image but only for that image and not the lightboxes that are triggered from the 360*. so, if you add a 360* photo to a slide in storyline you can reveal hotspots within the image with the hotspot options on the left (where the option for guided tour is), but you can't do the same in a lightbox style slide, the menu is not where it should be and I can't find it in any options
