Caption entrance animations

May 02, 2013

Hello, I am making a Table of Contents slide for a short course I'm writing, and I would really like to have the primary section titles displayed, and then have a caption animate in under each when it's clicked.  The thing that I can't figure out is if there is any way to make the caption box animate in the way that Marker text boxes do, which is to say grow across the top and then drop down.

Is there a way to do this, or should I just add a Marker to each section title?

Thanks for the help,

Ben

Hi Ben,

I don't know of a way to create the exact effect of the markers, but you could probably use one of the entrance animations for this.

However, you could definitely use the markers for this. It may just take some adjustment, depending on whether or not you want the actual marker button to display. What you could do is increase the size of the marker by adjusting the thickness of the border. You could make this transparent and place it over your buttons. Then, when the user clicks on the area covered by that marker, they'd see the expanded marker description/information.

Not sure if that would work for you, but might be worth a shot!

Good luck on the project :)
