CC Toggle button not working in HTML 5

Hello everyone,

I've created a master slide with a CC toggle button that's supposed to show/hide the transcript when clicked (similiar to this post here: http://community.articulate.com/forums/t/14677.aspx).

It works perfectly on both a PC and a Mac but is not working on an ipad. On the ipad I can click it once to turn it on and click it again to turn it off and then after that it stops responding until I go to the next slide. Has anyone experienced something similar? If so, is there a workaround? I would really like to get this working as the Notes option in Storyline doesn't really cut it. It's for a post-secondary institution and the legal requirements for accessibility are very strict.
