Change data entry state or trigger so it only appears when filled?
Apr 15, 2014
Hello,
I have this question regarding the data entry box, I'm not sure if it is possible using Storyline, but would appreciate any alternative solutions in that case.
I'm building a slide with multiple layers. Each layer will have multiple textboxes that trigger the appearance of words on the base slide when clicked.
I would like the user to have the option of filling in their own idea if the options do not suit. For this, I thought of using data entry, but as I discovered, I cannot change the state, as I have done for the other triggers.
My problem arises when I would like the data entry box to remain in the sentence if it has been filled in.
I tried using another layer, however, this involves duplicating the slide... and it disappears when another layer is clicked. It's getting complicated!
Here's what I have so far, see the Behaviour and Content layers.
As I said, if it's not possible the way I have tried it, please let me know if you think of any alternatives.
Thanks!
Valerie

Hi VAL. i have changed your Content layer, please check it. When you would Enter the text there and will click anywhere you txt will appear in the line Above. hope this is what you are looking for
Hi Rehan ,
That works, thanks! It allows users to add their own content. Now to hide it when another word is selected.
Great
