The markers are pre-built and not editable. However, you can change the state of the marker and add your own. I just did a webinar on different ways to customize markers/labels that may help and give you some ideas.

I want to share my workaround with you. It is not perfect, you lose the ability to add an animation to a marker, but you get the functionality of the marker.
I make the maker's background and border the same color and then increase the line width of the maker to match the size I need. I add an image to the normal state to change the button's icon. I made a quick and crude video of this process. I hope it helps.

Hi Chris! Can I find the video of your Workaround somewhere? That would help a lot!
Hi Melanie!

Hello,
Same problem here : we now want to use "Full HD" (1920x1080) scene size and those marker look very tiny and less noticeable.
Maybe it's time to make those marker re-sizeable?
Thanks.
Hi Pierre,
Thanks for letting us know about your experience! A feature request for resizable markers has already been submitted to our team. This conversation is being linked to that request, so if it makes it onto our feature roadmap, we’ll make sure to update you!
I agree with Pierre!
It would also be nice to be able to resize the diameter of the "pulse".
Thanks!
I am adding my name to that list - please can the markers be re-sizeable. It seems daft to have them so small and inflexible when some people are using them for accessibility reasons to highlight transcript and audio options for learners.
I'd love to see this feature too ! Sometimes my texts just don't fit into a marker ...
When we rolled out our first Storyline modules to our team for feedback the very first point was "These markers are too small" -- we want to have our modules at 1920x1080 and the drawback is the markers are practically invisible given the size restrictions.
Please expedite this feature request
Has the idea of improving the marker sizing and animation capabilities been abandoned? I don't see it on the feature roadmap and my markers, which I use to teach the learner how to navigate the course, are not even legible. Any update?
Hi Tamara!
Thanks for checking in on this!
Not to worry! The feature request to allow authors the ability to customize the marker size in Storyline has not been abandoned! Our development team has been prioritizing other features, so I don't have any updates to share at this time.
I've included you in the feature report so you can be notified as soon as we have news to share!
For your reference, here's a deeper look at how we manage feature requests.
Can you also please include me Steven Benassi. The markers are huge for the images I have and no way to change them to be smaller.
Sure thing, Moema de Castro Alves!
I've added your voice to the report. We'll be sure to update this discussion if we have any news in the future.
Hope you are having a great start to 2024! 🎉
Add mine too please! I need an efficient way to mark the introduction of a new glossary term but the default size is much too large for most instances I'd like to use it.
Thank you!
We've gotten user feedback that the markers are too small. We embedded the "too small" marker inside a larger icon, but that marker's interactive area is still too small. This is especially a problem when users are interacting via a tablet and need to tap on a specific invisible portion of the larger icon to get the interaction to work - it's less of an issue when using a desktop/laptop.
Hi Jeremy!
Thanks for the feedback on how customizing the marker size in Storyline could benefit you and your learners!
I see that you were previously included in the feature report that's being tracked. We'll be sure to notify you as soon as we have updates to share!
