Changing button shapes
Aug 16, 2013
Hi,
I am new in using Storyline and when I create buttons, I only have 2 choices. First is the rectangle and second is the rounded rectangular shape which I can compress and create a circular button.
My question is, is there a way where I can I change the shape of the button? Or I should just create my own from scratch up to changing the states? For example, I want to create a trapezoid or a triangle button?

Besides the standard buttons, you can use any shape to create a button. See below a couple of sample buttons created from Shapes. You can also use the Format Painter tool to apply the formatting (fill, shading, states, etc.) of an object (in my example the blue standard button to a shape (in my example the blue rectangle). And of course, you can use images for the various states of a button.
Hi Michael,
Thanks for your reply. Well I guess I need to start now and create from scratch.
