I would like to adjust the size of the font for the items listed on the left hand side of the page in a matching quiz. The font is too small for learners to see. By default the right side font is larger. Is there a way to edit this?
I wasn't sure which matching type of question you were using, so I did a quick screenr on how to change the font within a Matching Drag and drop. You'll be able to change it for a Matching Drop down as well.
Thanks Ashley. For some reason I can change the font on the right side, but not the left side. I change the font size, but everything remains the same, tiny, tiny, and tiny. That's the weird thing, go figure...
As Phil mentioned, if you have a lot of text - there is only a limited amount that you can change it. If there is anything else we can help you with please let us know!
If you want a larger text and it seems not to change or reduces, make sure you right-click >format shape, Select Text Box and under Auto Fit select Do Not Auto Fit. Now on the matching drop-down if you could just resize the entire element.
Is there any update on this issue since a year ago? I am having the same problem. I turned off the Auto Fit (as described above) and have been trying to adjust the font size (even as large as 40) on the drag and drop matching, but the font remains too small even though I have plenty of empty space available and only three questions (see my screen shot).
Thanks for the screenshot - it may help if you're able to share a copy of the .story file here so that we can look into all your other slide and text box settings. Please also check that you're working locally and following the other guidelines here for managing your project files.
This was created with QuizMaker working inside of Presenter. I am not using Storyline. I can send the .quiz file if you want.

Sorry for the confusion, but this was posted in the Storyline forums. I haven't seen particular issues with fonts in Studio but we'd be happy to take a look at your file. You can share the .quiz file here, in a new thread in the Quizmaker forums or send it along privately here.
Also, when you reply to a thread via email your signature is included in the posting. You're welcome to edit the post to remove that information.
Sorry about that. I just did a search on the topic and did not realize the forum I was in.

Unfortunately, you cannot change the font size within the Drag and Drop boxes if you are using a lot of text. However, you can always build a custom Matching Drag and Drop interaction!
Very disappointing Articulates solution to this issue is "You cant do that". Hard to tell a client such a simple issue is impossible to fix because of software limitations.
I am just trying to add one more matching choice to my question and it is defaulting to a different color font. They need to all be the same or else the quiz taker will simply match the different color. I cannot simply make the colors match?
I had a problem like this and finally realized I had what I wanted to change "locked" down by the bottom. By unlocking it (click on the padlock) I was able to make the necessary edits.
So sorry you're running into this! I see you already opened a case (01087226) and you're working with my colleague Vira. You're in good hands there! I'll follow along with your case, as well. 😊
I have already figured this problem out. I have a new problem I still have not resolved yet. This is the case number if you feel want to help - 01087410.
Ok, I am also using the matching question and the font will not increase. Yes, SMEs use a lot of text and sometimes the definition requires it. I do not understand why this limitation still exists. This issue is at least 4 years old.
There is plenty of room on the screen but you cannot change the size of the text box. Why? I only have three questions. This means I cannot use matching questions at all.
Then there is still the issue of text overlapping when you look at it during the review.
There certainly are limitations when using form/template based questions types. Sorry that this is causing an issue for you.
I would advise using Alyssa's suggestion above of using a custom drag and drop. That will open up your possibilities and you would be able to customize as needed.
We're still tracking these requests, so I'll share your insight with the right team. If this gets added to a future update, this discussion will be the first to know!
In the meantime, could Alyssa's earlier recommendation for a freeform drag-and-drop work for your design? I've attached a sample file below of how it could look. 🤞

The font size will only change to some degree if you have lots of text it will shrink to fit and look odd there is no workaround for this.

Thanks Everett - always a good reminder to check the text box formatting properties.

Hi All
Is there a work around for this problem as yet? Please see attachment.
Tried to format the text box to deselect auto fit, but all the options are greyed out.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Hi Jessica!

Best of luck to you on the rest of your project!

6 years on and we still don't have this fixed. Any chance this will ever be amended, as this would be a common request from many users.

Yes, I took on board the free form drag and drop but the other option if
ever fixed in the future, would make life easier.
Thanks
