Changing graded quiz points

Dec 04, 2022

I'm at my wits' end and hopefully someone can help me. Previously my e-learning could suffice with a variable score that wasn't reported to an LMS. Now it needs to report to the LMS, and I figured my questions need to be graded. Including the questions with sliders.

I found this solution online, however I also have a question with multiple sliders. Alternative solutions such as splitting the question up into 1 slider per slide, or even worse making the whole interaction drag-and-drop have crossed my mind.

But before I do that... I was wondering if it's possible to change the number of graded points earned with a trigger?

I tried changing the "Quiz1.ScorePoints" variable but with no success. I even added 3 "dud" questions with the right number of points that could be earned.

To use multiple sliders on a graded question slide, you need to disguise a standard question slide. For example, you could put your custom question-with-slider info on top of a T/F question (i.e., hide the True and False buttons).

Then, instead of the triggers you currently have that show the Correct or Incorrect layer based on the slider values, make the triggers change the state of the True or False button to Selected. Be sure to put those triggers before the default "Submit True/False" trigger on the Submit button.

This post doesn't directly address your situation, but it does provide info about "disguised" questions:
