Looks like you just need to adjust the elements in the hover state of the object to make them more readable. If you are unable to the colors on the graphic, have you considered adding a shape with some transparency?
i'd like to take a look at your project file so I can get a better idea of what you're seeing. Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can help you make the necessary changes? We'll delete the file when we're done testing!
