Changing radio buttons to checkboxes in a quiz

Jan 08, 2020

Hi all,

I'm updating an old Storyline file by copying some of its contents into a new Storyline file. Not sure if this is relevant to the following but thought I'd include it in just in case it is.

One main issue I've been having is the inconsistency of the input boxes between the Multiple Response and the Multiple Choice questions. The former has square checkboxes while the latter has radio boxes. Is there any way to make them similar or the styles are set and users can't change or customise the input boxes?

Thank you for your help.

Phillipe,

This is not an inconsistency, but simply how the two differ. I was confused by the two terms for quite a while until it was explained to me like this. The Multiple Response check boxes allow multiple responses (answers) to be selected, while the Multiple Choice (radio button) only allows one selection. The term Radio button comes from the old car radios, where you could program one station per button and when you pressed a different button to change the station, the previous one would pop out. Maybe I'm dating myself here but that explanation helped me make sense of the difference in the two.
