Changing state of an entered Valued

Nov 17, 2020

HI,

I was wondering if someone could help, please :)

I am trying the get the delegate to enter a code into a text field eg 1234 but each time they enter a number a big dot appear to show that the value has been entered but you cannot see the number.  eg they enter 1, one dot is showing, they enter 2, two dots are showing and so on.   I have tried to play with different states of my text field but it doesn't seem to work for every single key stroke.  The 4 dots only appears once the delegate has entered the full code.  I have set 5 different triggers to show 5 different states: One with the cursor on click (state1), one with one dot (state 2), one with two dots (state 3) and so on.  Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Any help with this would be great :) thank you

Hi Bene!

Yes, that makes sense! When you're using the trigger for when the user presses a key, you'll need the user to click on the slide or an object before pressing 4 on the keypad. Instead, I created a slide where you can use this keypad image to enter the password, and I've added states to display "1234". Take a look at this slide and let me know what you think!

Feel free to import the slide into your current project, so you don't have to create it from scratch!
