Changing the state of an object using a variable

Hi,
I am still quite new to Articulate and am trying to find my feet with variables.
I have a navigation slide (A) with a lot of shapes on, I want some shapes to change state when another slide (B) is competed. I have tried the following however I cant seem to get this to work.
A shape on the slide B to change the variable to true
A trigger to change the state of the shapes on slide A when the variable changes.
I must be missing something as I have tried adding the variable to screen to see what its value is and it is not changing.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Rik
here is a quick and dirty sample based on what I think you are trying to do.
If not do you want to upload the .story file. Just use the 'ADD ATTACHMENT' button at the bottom of the post. It's easier for someone to help you if they can see your setup
Hi Wendy,
Thank you so much for this, the example massively helps me to visualise what set up I need. I have managed to get this to work on my project.
(I didn't realise I could upload a .story. I am learning more and more everyday:-))
Your help is much appreciated.
Rik
Glad to help Rik and welcome to elearning heroes.
Here is a link to SL2 tutorials that may help you but always feel free to ask questions and if you can upload the file it certainly helps people help you with a solution otherwise we are 'assuming' things that may be incorrect.

Good luck with your project!
Awesome resources, Wendy! Looks like you should be all set, Rik, but please let us know if you need anything further!
Also, I thought I might stop in to share the following as well, in case you find them handy:
Hope that helps! :)
