I don't remember seeing this before. When I applied a fade animation to an Articulate Character, the character disappears on the slide. The frame stays and the animation works on preview. Just seems odd to me.
Does this description match the appearance of your timeline, with the Timeline Visualization icon activated in the top-right corner of the timeline? If it's active, try deactivating it and see if the issue persists.

It seems that applying any animation causes the Characters to disappear on the slide. This has to be a new error.
This is very add as well. The characters do not appear on the slide but they do show in the scenes area but only one slide not both.
This happens with any animation I use so this has to be an error. Hope it can be corrected soon. I hate to give up animations!!!

That solved the problem. I did not know this existed. What is the point
of this icon?

Thanks Nedim for the information. I had not seen or needed this before.
