I tried to change the DPI settings but it does not seem to stick, even after logging off. Any suggestions? I still have beheaded characters and clunky templates on my mac. Help!?
Help, the same thing happened here, however, when I view the final product on my computer, they have their heads. When I had a staff person test it out, they were beheaded. We have 1500 staff members with all different computer settings, so are you saying that they would all have to be instructed to change their DPI or I would be at risk of them viewing it with beheaded characters? Thanks for your help.
Hey Angela! You'll only need to change that DPI setting while authoring the course in Storyline itself. Once the course is published- your learners won't run into that issue viewing the content.
Hope that helps clarify! 😊
Also- if you're seeing that in the published output but not while authoring the course, that's something we would want to investigate further with you. You're welcome to attach your .story project file here and we can do some testing!

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Louisa!
Oh my! That doesn't sound too pleasant. I wonder if it might be an issue with the DPI on the machine.
Storyline will function as expected when Windows is set to 96 DPI (dots per inch).
Storyline doesn't currently support 120 DPI. If your system is set to 120 DPI, you may experience erratic behavior, such as:
* Elements of the application are misplaced or distorted.
* Objects are misplaced or distorted when previewed or published.
* Zoomed images don't work as expected.
* Font sizes are incorrect after using the translation features.
Here's how you can switch to 96 DPI
Hopefully that'll get their heads on straight :) If you still have trouble with this, please just let me know.
Thanks and welcome again!
You are exactly right! Although my eyeballs may not thank you, I most certainly do.
Hi Louisa,
Glad to hear that did the trick! Sorry for the eyeball trouble, but at least now the characters are behaving :D
Hope you have a great day!

Hi Travis,
It looks like I just answered your question in this thread.

Hi Christine, can you see my comment below and let me know of any ways I can resolve it? Thanks so much for your help!
