Checkmarks in Storyline - How to make them permanent state once "checked"

Mar 06, 2024

I have a Storyline training that requires the student to check two boxes affirming they completed the education. I set that slide to resume saved state. However, whenever I go back to that slide the checkmarks are unchecked. How do I make it permanent whether the user during the same session goes back to other slides and returns to the final affirmation slide or at some later date after completion goes back to review the education and eventually returns to the affirmation slide. I must be missing something very simple. Thank you. T

Troubleshooting would just be guessing without seeing the .story file. Here are the best practices for uploading that:

  • Only include slides that are related to the problem.
  • Be sure objects, layers, motion paths, and variables have meaningful names.
  • If there is proprietary content, replace or delete it. For example, replace proprietary text with “ipsum lorem” text.

Hi Mene,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

  • Do you have your slide set to Resume saved state
  • Could you share more about what you are experiencing and looking to achieve? Is it similar to Theresa's question?

It would be helpful to take a closer look at your setup. You can upload your .story file to this thread or privately in a support case.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
