Closed captions appearing Behind images

Sep 21, 2018

I'm experiencing intermittent problems with Closed Captioning appearing behind images and text on the screen.  It doesn't appear that way in the preview within Storyline 360, but does in ScormCloud and in our LMS.

Attached is my story file.  It is only happening in the second scene on the following three slides:  Sign into Jabber, Status and Adding Contact & Groups (don't have the slide #s as I already attached the file below and it won't allow me to access it).

Hi Susan,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you see in your course as well as supplying a sample file for us to take a look.

The closed captions displaying behind other slide objects is an issue that has been shared with our team to investigate further, and I will add this conversation to the report so that we can update you when we can.

Hi Susan,

I don't have an official confirmation on this fix yet, as the team is doing some final testing. The plan is to include a fix for the issue where subtitle disappears when content is published using Update 19 or later and is viewed on Google Chrome in the next update.

We'll post here once that fix is included in an update.

Hey folks. I'm excited to let you know that we just released update 21 for Storyline 360! It includes new features and fixes - check them all out here.

One of the fixes addresses an issue where closed captions sometimes disappeared in HTML5 when using the classic player.

Here’s how you can update Storyline 360 to take advantage of everything the latest release has to offer. Let me know how you make out!
