I've been implementing this approach explained by Jeanette Brooks about how to collapse the menu from the start of a course - https://player.vimeo.com/video/149187038
It works great for most of my courses. However it doesn't work in courses where there is a sub-menu within a menu item. That is:
Menu
Parent item 1
Parent item 2
- Child item 1
- - Child item 1.1
- - Child item 1.2
- Child item 2
Parent item 3
In cases where I have a menu like this, I follow Jeanette's tutorial, but the course inevitably reverts to fully expanded from the beginning.
