Color when hovering over shapes

I am running storyline 2, and not familiar with storyline1.

Wouldn't a slider be better for this as your icon can be dragged all over the screen?

In SL2 I'm not quite getting what your issue is?

As you can see from my story file, I built the slider myself. There is not a slider option in Storyline 1.

ah dam. Would have been ideal.

I'm not sure what you have designed here is the best solution for what you wish to achieve.

Ill see if I can mash something together quick and demo to you.

Actually, I am going to open my initial question back up. I want to go with the slider I built I just want the dark shaded squares to not appear when dragging. Can someone suggest how to get rid of this?

Michael, thanks for your suggestion but what you've created does not appear to be a slider and some items disappeared when I used it. See the screen-grab I've attached.

The original file is the story file Hover_Shape_Color.story listed within my initial post above. I've re-attached it to this post. Also, please note this is not a final product. There are other triggers and such I am messing with but I do not want to continue on until I know that I can get rid of those pesty dark squares when dragging! Thanks!

The following clip shows what I'm seeing. I do not see the dark squares you mention.

Yes, I do see the dark squares in your output. :( 

That's ok. What browser are you utilizing? I'll try to view the same.

So, I've tested it in a few places. I do NOT see the dark squares when using Safari and Chrome on a Mac in Scorm Cloud. However, I do see the dark squares when viewing in Chrome and IE on a PC.

I've worked with 2 other co-workers on this since I cannot replicate the behavior that you are mentioning. 

1/3 can see what you are reporting and they are not on a Mac, so strange indeed.

At this point, I would advise that you adjust the size of the text boxes so that it doesn't extend past the line, then if it does show for some users, then it doesn't look unexpected. The transparency is set differently for the rectangles as well and the 1st one is marked as 100% transparent, but the others are not.

If this does not alleviate the issue, please reach out to our support team here so that we can further assist and get some additional testing. 

Honestly, it's just hard to assist if I cannot replicate.

Thanks so much for taking time to look into this! I've developed a similar slider using layers instead. This seems to work much better! I'll post the file once I've completed it just in case anyone else comes across this issue.
