Communicating question-by-question results to LMS

Feb 12, 2015

Hi all,

I'm struggling with figuring out how to report student responses to the LMS.

As far as I can see, it is relatively straightforward to include a results slide which adds all scores across the course and sends it to the LMS.

However, my questions look like the following and I'd also like to know how the student performed on each question:

Q1 - Explain xyz in 30 words or less [text entry]

Q2 - Select which of the following best represents x [quiz style multiple choice]

Q3 - Indicate which part of the image indicates x [hotspot based question]

Desired report on each student in LMS:

Q1 "this is an explanation of xyz" (response time: 23 seconds)
Q2 correct, 20 points (response time: 5 seconds)
Q3 correct, 20 points (response time: 6 seconds)

I would be grateful for your help. I came across the link below which suggested a storyline may already be reporting these to the LMS but I'm struggling to figure out what settings would track them.

Hi Sriram,

As Christophe mentioned, this is a function of the LMS in terms of how they'll report data to you and what elements can be reported. Specifically with timing issues (how much time per question, whole course, etc.) those are handled entirely by the LMS as Storyline does not have a way to gather or track that data.
