Compiling survey results and making printable for users

Oct 17, 2023

I'm trying to do something very specific in Storyline and I'm not sure if it's possible. We're trying to use survey questions ("select any" questions and text entry questions) to let users create a customized document as they go through our eLearning. Ideally, at the end of the scene, the user would be able to print (or print to PDF) a page with all of their answers from these survey questions in one document.

Is this possible? Would I need to use outside code to accomplish this? Thanks!

Hi Raye!

Happy to help with this!

Do you have a Survey Result Slide at the end of the survey? If so, navigate to the Result Tools—Design tab on the ribbon. There you'll see the option to add a Print Result button. This button lets learners print out a summary of their results.

Also, this related discussion involves some light JavaScript coding to add a custom Print Results button.

I would also open the floor up to our knowledgeable community who may be able to offer some extra insight or suggestions!
