Complete/Incomplete Questions on Review Slide

Feb 08, 2019

Hi everyone!

I am stuck with trying to find a solution for this. I am working on an online practice exam course. It's series of questions with a single question on each slide. Learners have option to flag a question on each slide in order to easily access it if they want to come back to it after they finished all the questions. There is a 'review page' at the end of the course where learners can find a list of question (question 1, question 2 etc...) and whether they flagged them or didn't complete them. Using variables I managed to create the flag/unflag part of it already.

Now if learners don't complete/answer a question on one of the slides. On the last review slide, I want them to be able to see the word 'INCOMPLETE' next to the specific questions they didn't answer. How can I achieve this? Is there a function included in the quiz I can use?

Also, I wanted them to be able to click on two options 'see flagged questions' and 'see incomplete questions' - Is there a way how to do this in storyLine at all?

I found an online exam that uses exactly what I am trying to do, hopefully the image attached will make it much clearer!

Any help and advice will be much appreciated,

Lukas

I don't know how you set up your questions to allow learners to skip questions. I guess you could create a Complete variable for each question that is initially False. Whenever the submit button for a question is clicked the variable is toggles to True. Then on the Results slide, you could use the variables to change the state of textobjects from Incomplete to Complete.
