Control base layer timeline from slide layers

I'm creating an Accessibility module that plays music in the background from beginning to end. To do this I add the music on the base layer and create several slide layers to move through the content. Each slide layer appears automatically when queued.

Now I need to add controls that move backward and forward through the slide layers - like a video player. I can get the slide layers to move correctly, but I can't re- start the base layer timeline  at the queue point for the chosen slide layer.

How do I control the timeline on the base layer using the queue points?
