Hi All,
I have a requirement, a Submit button initially disabled and get enable when user enter some text into the Data entry field and should disable when we removed the text from that Data entry field. Currently I am able to get that after entering some text and clicking outside that Data entry field and even removed the text from the data entry field and clicking outside the Data entry field.
But my requirement is to get enable the button when we start entering some text in the Data entry field and should disable when we removed the text from the Data entry field by clicking backspace or delete.
Please help me if any one having the solution.
Thanks,
Mahesh

Hi Mahesh,
The default is for Storyline to realize an answer has been entered when the control loses focus (clicks outside the data entry field).
Perhaps this discussion here will lead you in the right direction for building this custom question!
Hi Ren,
Thanks for the quick response, I have already tried that method and getting result as well. But if you check my requirement, i need that submit button Enabled when user start entering text in to the input field. Where as with the current method Submit button getting Enabled after entered the text into the field and then clicking outside.
Thanks,
Mahesh

Hi guys any update on this? Would love the feature for buttons to be enabled on typing in a text entry and not when object losses focuses
Hello Kurt,
Thanks for joining the chat!
Currently, there isn't a way to change the state of an object when typing in a text-entry field. Storyline won't evaluate the characters in a text-entry field until Control loses focus, which means learners click a button or outside the text box.
However, that doesn't mean there isn't a way to unlock this! Have you had a chance to try the tips in the conversation Ren shared? I also found a few more:
Let me know if that helps!
