Convert step-by-slides slides into Mp4

Dec 02, 2016

Hi Heros

I'm seeking some assistance / advice. In Articulate 360  I have found a way to convert my slides to mp4. Post the screen recordings, I've choose to insert as "step-by-step slides" into a scene. I then make my edits to the slides, select Action Fine Tuning > Right click > Export Video (to Mp4). In my slides I have some instructional text boxes which I want to show in the simulation/video. But once converted to Mp4, the notes/text boxes don't appear. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi there Naamon,

Thanks for reaching out here! The Export Video to MP4 feature exports a video of the screencast itself, meaning the original video you recorded. It does not export the objects on the slide. However, if this is a feature that you would like to see in a future update, we want to hear about it! You're welcome to share your ideas here in the form of a feature request.

Hi Naamon and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

The Export Video option will utilize the original screen recording, not the updates included when you converted it to a step-by-step project. This is the expected behavior. You could utilize Replay or another instance of Storyline if you'd like to create another screen recording to utilize the mp4 format.
