Does anyone know if I can convert something that is already a slide in my Storyline project into a layer on another slide so that I don't have to totally recreate that slide as a layer?
In other words, if I used to have slides 1, 2 and 3, but now I want slides 2 & 3 to be layers on slide 1, is it possible somehow to just convert them?
You can't convert a slide into a layer. But you can create two layers on slide 1. Then copy&paste the content of slide 2 into layer 1 of slide 1 and the content of slide 3 into layer 2 of slide 1.

Hi Sophie,
You'll want to use the steps Michael mentioned to copy and paste those elements over.
Please let us know if you need anything else.
you can duplicate a base layer as a layer and then copy and paste that as a layer
Thanks Phil, I forgot about that option in SL2. That makes it much easier.
I'm trying to do this on S360 but the original slide has zoom regions and they're not coming with it as a layer.
I want to test if changing the navigation to being from a layer rather than slides will solve a marking completion issue.
Any suggestions?
Zoom regions can only be on the base layer

Rats. There goes that solution to the completions issue... thanks for responding so quickly.
Hi Louise,
If you want to share a bit more about the issues you're running into with completion, we can help with that!
Hi Ashley
thanks but I have raised a support case.

Thanks Louise and I see that you're working with my colleague John, so I'll follow along as well.
