Copying files to SharePoint 2013

Feb 04, 2019

I am contracting for a company that uses SharePoint 2013. I cannot copy .swf files over. I get "Drag and Drop Upload - The documents cannot be uploaded because different permissions are needed. Request the necessary permissions." When I check with the SharePoint administrator to get the proper permissions he said it is because .swf files have been depreciated and can no longer be copied to SharePoint. I cannot seem to find that issue anywhere else. HTML files copied fine.  Any ideas?

I am confused by what you mean publish to HTML5 only - there is an story_html5.html file. Is that what you are talking about? Or how do you publish to HTML5 only? What are the limitations by doing that? Why cannot I find any other people having the same issue - is our companies SharePoint more locked down than all others? Any help would be appreciated.
