Copying text boxes
Jan 23, 2018
Hi all,
Just wondered, if I have a module that has a title, say 'Baking Cakes'.. can I set up a variable that allows me to repeat that text elsewhere in the project? So I could have a sentence that says 'welcome to our quick guide to Baking Cakes', and later on, one that says don't forget to tell everyone about our Baking Cakes lesson etc, wherever I wanted it repeated.
Then, we could use the same template, change the title to Mixing Gin & Tonics', and it would change the whole module without having to check every instance of it. Because clearly, you'd be in no fit state to accurately check a lesson after mixing all those g&t's.... :-)
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,
Yup you can do this by having the module title as a text variable and then referencing that variable anywhere you want on slides / in text boxes.
So for example you create a variable called "Module_Title" and one of your text boxes would say "Welcome to our quick guide to %Module_Title%" and it would show whatever you set the variable as.
Hope this is clear!
Ah James, of course... I've clearly got on the outside of too many of those G&T's not to have seen this! Thanks :-)
