Hi, I have inserted a round object in one of my slide and I want this round object to flash after a couple of seconds. I tried adding a layer and using the "hide layer..." and "show layer..." technique, however, it did not work.
To do this in Storyline 1, I would use a layer, like in the attached example.
Your layer would contains a next button, with a Fade In/Fade Out animations for its entrance and exit.
Next, create a trigger that will cause the layer to reveal when the slide timeline ends.
On the layer itself, you will need two triggers that will hide and then reveal the layer. This will create the looping/flashing effect.
Be sure that the layer properties are set to "Reset to initial state" to allow the layer's timeline to refresh each time. (click the gear icon next to the layer name)
I'd also keep the timeline on the layer short - like 1 second.
