Hello, I am having problems creating my dial arrow to move when clicked on in Storyline 2. Help?
I attached the slide to this note. I would like the user to be able to click on the arrow and then wherever the arrow points (tip 1, tip 6, etc...) a text box will display.
Would anyone direct me or show me the steps on how to set this up?
Check the attached sample, where Tip 1 and 2 are working. I think the key thing you need to keep in mind when creating new states for the dial, is to copy either State1 or 2, not Normal. If you copy Normal, you can't rotate the arrow.

Thank you Walt - this is exactly what help I needed. I'm so appreciative!!!
is it possible to click the arrow and not the "tip text boxes" and then once the arrow points to the text box the description displays?
You would write triggers to say
Show layer 6 when user clicks Arrow on condition that state of Arrow is State5
Change the state of Arrow to State6 when user clicks Arrow on condition state of Arrow is State5
Show layer 5 when user clicks Arrow on condition that state of Arrow is State4
Change the state of Arrow to State5 when user clicks Arrow on condition state of Arrow is State4
You would have to put them in this exact order, or every time you clicked it would jump to State6.
You can do it however you want, but the disadvantage of doing it this way is that you can never back up, repeat, or have a choice in the order.
Well, I guess you could go around again if you started with these two triggers:
Show layer 1 when user clicks Arrow on condition that state of Arrow is State6
Change the state of Arrow to State1 when user clicks Arrow on condition state of Arrow is State6
Thank you - that is a good idea. Let me take a look and see how it turns out.
