Creating a final results slide comibining 6 different result slides is not possible?

Jan 27, 2015

Hi,

I'm trying to create a final results slide which would combine the scores from 6 separate and different results slides. I created a new 'Results' scene and included the 6 separate results slides into this scene. Then, I created a new slide using the Results tab in the Quizzing layout. When I'm asked to calculate results for: (in dropdown), I choose 'Selected Results Slides,' The Results Slide window is empty. There are no results slide to choose. Attached is a screenshot of what I'm seeing. I can't figure out what I did wrong.

Any suggestions? Thank you, again, for your help.

I think I might have answered my own question. When I created the results slide for each section, I'm 99% sure that I used the blank Results slide in the Quizzing layout. But, if i didn't, and if I just created a blank slide and added the content to make it a results slide (all six slides are working perfectly for me), could this be the reason why the results slides are not displaying?

Hi Carol,

It sounds like you may be correct, that it's not recognizing them as results slides. You could easily test this theory by inserting a new actual results slide and see if that's included when trying to combine the results slides. If you're still having difficulty we'll want to take a look at your .story file and see if there is anything else interfering.

Hi Kate,

Happy to help here! Results slides can either track a set of questions or combine other results slides into a cumulative score.

You can treat your other results slides as you normally would, but to combine results slides, you'll need to add a new one, and under the Results Slides Properties box, there's a dropdown next to Calculate Results for:

There you'll choose Selected Results slides, and then you can pick which results you'd like to combine.

Let me know if you have further questions on combining results slides once you try this out!
