Creating CYUs

Jul 05, 2013

I am trying to create a CYU with three options (A, B, and C) and one correct answer (A). All three options have individual answers. As feedback, the user is told why their choice was right/wrong and is asked to explore at the other options as well.

The trouble with this is that I don't want the user to get "take a look at the other options" if it is the third attempt. Is there a way to set this up in Storyline?

Hi there Priyanka,

If you're creating a Check Your Knowledge quiz and you're building the quiz from scratch, you could probably include a variable that would adjust each time the user attempts the question. When the user attempts 3 times, you could add a condition that would perform an action other than showing the "take a look at the other options" prompt (I'm assuming) that you're using or wanting to use.

Do you have anything set up for this project? If you'd like to share what you have so far, I'd be happy to take a look. Maybe I, or other community members, can give you some suggestions. If the file isn't too large, you should be able to post the .STORY file by using the paperclip icon in your response.

Thanks!
