Custom Certificate - return learner's name

I know this has been discussed and there are some videos out there, however, I am still having an issue with getting a custom certificate.

1 - what is the variable for the learner's name? I was able to edit the report.html and comment out the question list. I need to see the learner's name though and it's not returned. I can add a document.write line to return it but not certain how to pull that variable. Playing around with code is hard because you can't test Javascript unless you've uploaded the course.... or is there a way to test more easily?

2 - I can add a background png which is the actual certificate, but still have to get CSS code to display user's full name and the date so that it's in line with the certificate png image.

Has this been added to feature requests?
