I created a custom tab in my course player called "Help". I completed the trigger wizard for this tab--told SL to lightbox a certain slide when users click on the tab. I currently have the Help tab content (the content that I want lightboxed) in a standalone scene. The problem is, when I preview this, nothing's happening. The default Resources and Glossary tabs are working fine. What am I missing?
It seems custom player tabs only work when published, but not while previewing. I didn't see that mentioned in any of the tutorials, but perhaps I overlooked it.
You should be able to use them when previewing, I just tested it on a Storyline project and the tab worked and opened up my lightbox. If that's not working for you I'd suggest conducting a repair of Storyline after confirming that you're following these guidelines for working on your Storyline files:
Work on your local drive (your C: drive).Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, includingfile corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
You should also make sure the directory pathto your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters(for example C:\Articulate).
Avoid using special characters, accents orsymbols in your file names.

Hi Kate,
Hard to say without taking a look. Would you be able to upload a couple slides for the community to look at?
Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for the reply.
I think I may have figured it out...

I'm happy it was such an easy fix!
Thanks again.
