I'm trying to create the same effect as the audio meter Michael referenced and wondering how, with a transparent track, you get the thumb fill/image to be proportionate to the track value, so that it looks like the track is filling up? Or what other ways there are to do this. I'm trying to avoid creating a 100 state object for my 'Health Bar'.
Hey Michael. I see what you're saying, and I think that using states is going to be the primary way of doing this. Part of my training here was creating a slider project which used tons of states (and therefore, triggers). It was definitely time consuming! Maybe someone else has developed a quicker workaround!
Here is a simple slider that fills as it slides. Be warned that it is a work in progress, so you may find a lot of things you don't want, but the slider on slide 2 fills smoothly as it slides, without triggers. All the states are there only to move the text label, and all the triggers are only to calculate the temperature or show the correct state, They have nothing to do with the slide filling, and can be safely ignored.
For anyone who struggled with that explanation, like me: click on the slider, go to Format, drop down 'thumb styles', drop down 'thumb fill' and select a picture to be the slider button

If you click on the slider, then 'thumb fill', you can choose 'picture...' to put a custom image as the slider.
