Hello Terra!

Thank you for attaching your .story file! It's always so helpful to see what has been built so far. I've also noticed the states aren't changing on that slide when the characters are cropped. I duplicated the slide and deleted/readded the characters. Then I added new states and set triggers based o the timeline. That seemed to do the trick! Have you tried removing and reading the characters yet?

Here's a quick Peek of my testing!

Thank you,  I actually recreated that second "circle' character -- with the label "recreated" but had the same result.  It looks like you made your images larger, didn't  change the shape to a circle/headshot and did not put a fill or border around them --- perhaps that is the difference.  I have six of these characters that I want to have the facial expressions change during timeline triggers.  In the past, I've done this with full body images without an issue.  This time, Articulate doesn't seem to like the cropped head shots.

Hello Terra!

Thank you so much for adding those detailed characteristics! You're absolutely right. The shape of the headshot and border causes the character not to change states.

I've tested other shapes and fills, and this is only happening with any picture shape other than a rectangle. Here's my test.

I'm going to report this to my team as a software bug. I'll keep you updated and let you know if this makes it on our roadmap.

I really appreciate your help and your taking the time to bring this to our attention!
