I am creating a simulation where I want the user to enter a value in a field. Once the user enters the value in the field, I want the simulation to automatically move to the next slide layer. I inserted a “Text Entry” object and created a variable for the text I want the user to enter. I then created a trigger to show the next layer when the user enters the text variable, but it isn’t working when I preview the slide. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you everyone. I found a workaround by combining two steps on the same slide. I have the user enter the information in the field and then click a button to continue.

could you provide your Storyline file?
Did you set your trigger based off of the Var change? did you hit enter after entering the number could be a range of things

the data entry control must lose focus for the variable value to change, this is a limitation of storyline
