Delay progression

Feb 17, 2016

I don't want a user to be able to progress until the audio completes. I added a trigger that I thought would fix this issue, but it isn't working. Any ideas?

Hi Courtney!

My suggestion would be to turn off the default NEXT and PREVIOUS buttons used in the Player, and create some CUSTOM BUTTONS of your own.

You could add a customized NEXT or CONTINUE Button, for example (INSERT MENU > CONTROLS > BUTTONS), that begins at a DEFAULT STATE of DISABLED, and then use a TRIGGER to CHANGE its STATE to NORMAL once the Audio Completes.

I've provided an adjusted example of how this could potentially work using a customized button on Slide 1 as a prototype.

Hope this helps!

Eric:

  • On your STORY VIEW Tab, select the Slide you want to adjust Player Buttons for.
  • Then look in the BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER for the Slide Properties.
  • This should give you a couple of drop-down menus that will allow you to change these settings:

SL2 Slide Properties

  • You can then check/uncheck the buttons you wish to have displayed in the Slide.
  • In this example, I have removed/unchecked all of the buttons (Previous/Next/Submit).
