Disable re-launch after failed quiz attempts

Oct 02, 2013

Can anyone direct me in how to disable and end user in re-launching of a course after failed attempts in quiz.  Quiz provides 3 attempts in receiving a passing score of 90, but after 3 attempts, end user can relaunch the module. The module relaunch takes the end user to a particular slide. I am trying to disable all other attempts to relaunch the program after quiz failure. Does anyone have a solution. thanks

Hi Dave,

I may be misunderstanding, but if their having the three attempts without ever leaving the quiz, could you set up the Resume behavior (described here) to Always Resume, and they'll be brought back into the course where they've left off? This way if you've set up the quizzing to only allow 3 attempts, and those attempts have happen they won't be able to take the quiz again.

Hi Ashley,

I'm having a similar issues.  Im trying to publish a test in Cornerstone.  I would like the user to access the test once.  I do not want the user to have access to launch again.  Ive tried many properties but the user still has access to the launch button once completing the exam.  Any insight?  Im utilizing Quizmaker but can also use Presenter, if this helps.

Hello Sasha - This thread is a bit dated, but the number of attempts that you set within the software is only good for that instance. Accessing the course link or subsequent attempts via the LMS would need to be controlled within the LMS. We do have a good population of users utilizing that LMS, as you can see on this thread, and perhaps they will be able to assist if you cannot get assistance from your LMS team.
