Disappearing Text Boxes in Layers

Hello,

I'm hoping someone is able to offer some guidance. I have a video with multiple cues and layers. Each layer contains a text box and a continue button. I have set all of my triggers on the base layer to show a specific layer when it reaches the cue that includes the textbox and the continue button. Each specific layer has a hide layer and resume timeline trigger once the viewer selects the continue button. Every time the video goes to a layer, the continue button is the only object that shows. The text box is nowhere to be found! I've redone this video over and over again to see how I can alter the cues and triggers, but I have not had any luck. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Someone would have to take a look under the hood. Use the Add Attachment button, and attach your .story file, and you will get some suggestions.

I have a similar issue (but not exactly the same). I have these Watch Me slides with each having its own layer showing an instruction in a text box. This text box is accompanied by cross shapes 1. for learners to click on to hide the layer for the base layer to appear, 2. as a display.

The instruction layer is set to be shown from "When the timeline starts on this slide". And the only trigger in the layer is to "Hide this layer, When the user clicks X". However after the timeline ends, the text box disappears but the crosses stay until you click the one that hides the layer.

My questions are:

1. How can I show the layer all the time? - I tried "Show Always" and went to layer property but still no luck.

2. Why is the text box disappearing when the other objects stay on?

I have conducted a search in the forum but could not find a discussion exactly the same to mine.

As the content has sensitive information I am unable to share the file. Any assistance will be appreciated!

Dear Megumi,

1. How can I show the layer all the time? - I tried "Show Always" and went to layer property but still no luck.-----If the Cross but is there in the slide that means you are on the layer itself Please check one thing if by mistake you have applied any exit animation on the text box or you can check for the timeline.

If the above solution will not help, please upload the sample file for better understanding.

Thank you for your reply! I tried your solution and it worked perfectly! Although I feel a little embarrassed for not realising that was the cause of the issue. Much appreciate your help!
